Workers branch out

CATCH OF THE DAY—A large tree that fell from Al Siegel’s backyard into Lake Lindero creates quite a cleanup project for Westlake Village resident Dylan Kingston, a former Navy demolition diver, and Tom Manwell of Sierra Towing. Below, Manwell tips the boat while Kingston attaches a chain to the tree, which lies just below the surface. Left, Kingston catches a ride while Siegel pulls both him and the tree ashore. Tree cleared, mission accomplished.
