Jewish Academy kicks off adult education term

The Conejo Jewish Academy’s winter semester of adult education classes gets underway on Wed., Jan. 11 at 30345 Canwood St., Agoura Hills. Rabbi Moshe D. Bryski will lead a study of the Torah verse by verse at 12:30 p.m. Wednesdays beginning Jan. 11. The group will be studying “The 13 Attributes of Mercy,” discussing the literal meaning as well as moral lessons and implications for contemporary times. Admission is free and a dairy lunch will follow the hour-long class.

Additional study groups include classes on the book of Proverbs, the world of prayer, Chassidic philosophy, the 10 commandments, Hebrew language, the holocaust, Talmud, Jewish genealogy plus a series of lectures by prominent speakers.
