Class compares American and Jewish law

Laurie Levenson, professor of law at Loyola Law School, will teach a special interest class, “American Law or Jewish Law: Which is the Better Path for Ethical Advocacy?” at the University of Judaism (UJ), 15600 Mulholland Drive, Bel Air. The class will meet from 10:30 a.m. to noon Thursdays, Jan. 12 through Feb. 16.

Her class is presented by University Women, volunteers who support UJ programs. The enrollment fee is $60 for University Women members, $75 nonmembers, or $15 per individual class.

University Women also host monthly program meetings. On Tues., Jan. 24, author Maggie Anton will discuss “Rashi’s Daughters: Book One: Joheved—Life, Love & Talmud in Medieval France.” Please call for meeting time.
