Book character will come alive on stage

The Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza Foundation presents “Little Bear and the Enchanted Wood” at 7 p.m. Thurs., Jan. 19 in the Fred Kavli Theatre at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd.

Maurice Sendak’s Little Bear is the gentle, curious and inventive character that has captivated the imaginations of children the world over for more than a half-century.

In this musical production, Little Bear and his friends run into a small problem and end up in the spooky enchanted wood .

The series celebrates the everyday activities and important moments in a preschooler’s life. The show is appropriate for preschoolers through third-graders. Tickets range from $16 to $26 and are available by calling the Civic Arts Plaza box office at (805) 449-2787.
