Like many local businesses, the Acorn Newspapers is a family-operated company. We rely on the extraordinary help we get from you, our readers and advertisers, throughout the year.

You welcomed us more than 30 years ago when The Acorn began as a weekly shopper. From that modest start, faithful readers have enabled us to become your community newspaper.

Every week we strive to tell about the people, places and activities that make this area so special.

We celebrate in the accomplishments of those who live here.

We mourn the loss of those who die.

We, like you, take pride in living here.

Thank you for keeping us on top of things, so that we can inform others about school fundraisers and other special events. Thank you for sending us photographs of your children’s sports teams. Thank you for tipping us on what’s happening in your neighborhood. Thank you for correcting us when we’re wrong and especially for giving us words of encouragement.
