City needs freedom of speec

I write to address this new trend in the city of Calabasas of issuing restraining orders to the private citizens by the council and/or the mayor.

I think as an individual person, I have the right that I may speak freely and write of my sentiments on all subjects.

I think at times when a person is chosen to help “the people who voted for that person” they feel a power, and therefore want to control the people, losing the sense of honor that should blend with their position. There is honor in holding a title.

I think one should not forgo the fact that city, state and government officials are chosen by the people to work for the people and to serve the people.

I think when a person feels their rights have been violated they must speak out to whom ever they think should hear of an unfavorable condition, state or situation.

A restraining order?

I think that is the extreme for power or maybe for feeling the lack of feeling they are truly accepted. Marie Petrone Valley Village
