Center for Dynamic Living sponsors solstice fete, workshop

The Calabasas Center of Dynamic Living invites the public to attend a winter solstice celebration honoring the sacred traditions of Christmas and Chanukah from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wed., Dec. 21 at The Country Inn, 23627 Calabasas Road, Calabasas.

The special guest speaker will be Rev. Marilyn Miller, who will lead attendees through the sacred meaning of the winter holidays. Music will be provided by a brass quartet, violins, liturgical dance and drums.

Miller is former executive director of the Theatre School at California Institute of the Arts and is founder of the Women of Vision Leadership Institute.

On Sun., Jan. 8, the center will sponsor a workshop with guest speaker Mary Manin Morrissey from 1 to 4 p.m. at the The Country Inn. Morrissey will also be the guest speaker for the 10 a.m. service that day.

Morrissey is founder of The Living Enrichment Center in Oregon and author of “No Less Than Greatness.” She will show that you already have what it takes to create what you desire and how, with God’s help, you can achieve it.

Workshop attendees are asked for a contribution of $35 in advance or $45 at the door.
