Local teens among new debutantes

The debs  collectively  volunteered nearly  4,000  hours  at  various area charities. The debs collectively volunteered nearly 4,000 hours at various area charities. The National Charity League Inc. San Fernando Valley Chapter celebrated two special events this year, the chapter’s 50th anniversary and the organization’s 40th annual Charity Ball.

On Nov. 26, the chapter hosted the ball, “A Celebration of Commitment,” at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel. The ball honored 11 young women representing communities throughout the San Fernando and Conejo Valleys for their philanthropic commitment to the community.

This year’s debutantes, along with their fellow members, volunteered nearly 4,000 hours at philanthropies supported by the chapter, including American Cancer Society’s Discovery Shops, Guide Dogs of America, Motion Picture Television Hospital, West Valley Food Pantry, Operation Gratitude and ONEgeneration.

The debutantes are Melissa Lauren Anderson of Bell Canyon, Heather Michelle Crane of Van Nuys, Erica Tabsh Embree of Northridge, Tanya Marie Knezevich of West Hills, Briana Michelle Lehman of Thousand Oaks, Camille Rose Reinecker of Calabasas, Meagan Marie SheffAtteberry of Calabasas, Amber Elizabeth Shevin of Calabasas, Natasha Karena Srour of Beverly Hills, Lauren Kate Williamson of Tarzana and Katherine Elizabeth Wolf of Calabasas.
