U16 Ninja Turtles cap excellent season with second-place finish at regionals

CLASSIC GROUP—The Ninja Turtles, an AYSO U16 team comprised of girls from the Agoura area, finished the regular season in first place in the area with a 12-0-1 overall record, beating teams from Westlake, Calabasas, Hidden Valley, Malibu, Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Simi Valley and Moorpark. For their efforts, the Ninja Turtles advanced to the Region 10 sectional playoffs in Lancaster where they finished in second place out of eight teams. Team member are: Francesca Bruno, Kirstin Chernin, Alex Davila, Samantha Ferber, Danielle Gorodenzik, Randall Koff, Nicole Mainardi, Erica Markham, Natalie Peikoff, Colleen Raab, Kaitlyn and Kristen Saruwatari, Shelby Thirkill, Adrienne Wallet, Tiffany Wang and Rose Zeolla. The Ninja Turtles’ head coach is Tim Davila. Joe Mainardi is the assistant coach.
