Village people are a no-show

The residents of the city of Agoura should know their tax dollars are being used to plan and design disturbing private development(s) called Agoura Village.

The city of Agoura Hills is seeking to solidify a massive upzoning around Agoura Road that will add hundreds of thousand of square feet of commercial and residential development and serious amounts of traffic pollution and further clog Kanan Road.

There were only a handful of people at the hearing. The public comment period for the draft plan is now closed. Written comments can still be received until Jan. 2, 2006. I urge all residents to look at and comment on this plan, which will drastically scar Lady Face Mountain, the most scenic and precious part of our hometown, Agoura.
