Westlake man is new Alliance for Arts chair
Richard Hoefflin Westlake Village lawyer Richard “Tag” Hoefflin was elected chairman of the board for the Alliance for the Arts at the organization’s annual meeting last month.
An Alliance board member since 2000, Hoefflin has been active on both the compliance committee and the executive board, assisting with matters concerning the Angels of the Alliance, co-chairing the Annual Alliance Shoot-Out Golf Tournament, and most recently serving as chair-elect.
In addition to his new role as chair of the Alliance for the Arts, Hoefflin was elected to the Performing Arts Center board of governors and to the Civic Art Plaza Foundation where he will represent the Alliance for the Arts.
“Performing and visual arts provide a much-needed foundation for growth for our communities’ youth. The Countrywide Performing Arts Center ensures that our youth, adults, and families have access to a wide range of programs that previously have been available only in downtown Los Angeles or Orange County,” said Hoefflin. “To preserve and expand these programs, it is incumbent upon the community to assist in raising funds for the operations, maintenance, and performances these beautiful theaters.”

Hoefflin earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from CSUN and his law degree from Loyola University. He is founder of Hoefflin & Associates Law Corporation.
He has lived in Westlake Village for more than 30 years and is actively involved in the community, serving on various nonprofit boards.
