Council member is a rare breed

Upon returning home this past Sunday, with all of my Thanksgiving groceries, I found the power out at my home in Calabasas Park Estates. No refrigerator, no computer, no NFL match ups. No one knew what happened or when the power would return.

Within the hour our household received a phone call from freshman city council member Jonathan Wolfson.

“This is Jonathan Wolfson calling to see if your lights are back on,” he said.

Wolfson had already alerted the appropriate authorities to solve this problem for his constituents in Calabasas Park.

In my more than 10 years of living in Calabasas, I have never received a phone call from a city politician about anything but reelection. This one phone call shows Jonathan Wolfson’s commitment to the well-being of the people of Calabasas.

I am proud to have voted for Jonathan Wolfson in the last election and I commend him not only for his effective work on the all issues facing Calabasas, but for helping getting my lights and football games back on last Sunday. Jon Dabach Calabasas
