Author to discuss book ‘Divine Whispers’

The Jewish Learning Center will present the second lecture in the series “Feminine Voices,” featuring successful professional Jewish women in the arts and media. Feminist scholar, teacher and author Chana Weisberg will share insights from her latest book, “Divine Whispers: Stories that Speak to the Heart and Soul,” at 7 p.m. Sun., Dec. 4 at Chabad of Ventura, 5040 Telegraph Road.

A Toronto resident, Weisberg is a columnist for The Jewish Press and serves as a scholar-in-residence on Askmoses.com, a live chat site that offers information about Judaism, counseling and spiritual guidance.

Her other books include “Crown of Creation” and “The Feminine Soul,” and are popular texts in study groups and educational institutions, according to Chabad of Ventura. Weisberg serves as the dean of JRCC’s Women’s Institute of Torah Study offering feminine-conscious Torah courses and outreach programs to professional women. She lectures on a wide array of issues relating to relationships, feminism and the spiritual role of women in Judaism.
