Paul Lynde impersonatocoming to the Madrid

Michael Airington will portray the acerbic comedian Paul Lynde in “Holiday Spirits: An Evening with Paul Lynde,” based in part on Lynde’s 1976 touring show. It stars Airington and features the voice of “Hollywood Squares” host Peter Marshall.

The show will be presented at 8 p.m. Fri. and Sat., Dec. 16 and 17 and at 2 p.m. Sun., Dec. 18 at the Madrid Theatre, 21622 Sherman Way, Canoga Park.

The show features Lynde’s own words, performance pieces, and comedic monologues as he reminisces about his years in the show business “and casts a jaundiced eye on how it has fared since he moved on to that big Center Square in the sky,” according to a Madrid publicity statement.
