Campaign tactic questioned

Congratulations to the three candidates who where elected to the Agoura Hills City CouncilDenis Weber rightly deserves another term. Harry Schwarz and BilKoehler will be wonderful additions to the council. Thank goodness the voters were wise in casting their votes and not swayed by

the prolific campaign of Todd August. Mr. August had the greatesfinancial backing, most of it from supporters outside Agoura Hills.

He took small town politics to a new low when an e-mail from Ed Masry, of Erin Brockovich fame, appeared on our computersupporting him. At the time thathis letter was written, Mr. Masry was in intensive care, unable to even feed himself. When called to the mat on this support letter, MrAugust chose to pretend that MrMasry wrote this letter from hihospital bed, never mind that iwould have been physically impossible for him to have done so.

The important thing is that three candidates were elected who really care about this city, three candidates who will protect our semi-rural, small town feel. I am so grateful for that. Katy Rishoff Agoura Hills
