Jewish Women’s circle to host author

The Conejo Jewish Academy’s new Jewish Women’s Circle will be hosting an evening with author and lecturer Chana Weisberg at 7:30 p.m. Thurs., Dec. 1.

The Women’s Circle was formed to bring women from all walks of life and affiliations together in search of learning, identity and friendship.

“Jewish women have always played a pivotal role in Jewish life,” said Rebbetzin Matty Bryski of Chabad. “On a personal, familial and community level it has always been the Jewish woman who has created and developed the aura of Judaic life.”

The circle offers monthly workshops and lectures, as well as weekly study groups.

Weisberg will be speaking on the topic of her recently published book, “Divine Whispers: Stories that Speak to the Heart and Soul.”

“Her talk is a call to experience life more fully and with greater awareness of God, self, and the world around you as you discover how every event is truly a divine whisper,” according to Bryski.

The lecture will include hors d’oeuvres and desserts and will be presented at Chabad of Westlake Village, 2524 Townsgate Road.

Cost is $18 and reservations are required and may be made by calling (818) 991-0991 or visiting www.jewishacademy.com.
