RED CROSS DONATION— Mark Dilbeck, President of Dilbeck Realtors, handed Angie Turner, Chief Executive Officer of he American Red Cross San Gabriel Chapter, a check or $68,000 to help with the hurricane relief effort. Dilbeck Realtors & Associates Charitable Foundation joined forces with Dilbeck agents, staff and clients to delivery more than $68,000 to the American Red Cross for the recent hurricane victims.

Mark Dilbeck, President of Dilbeck Realtors and a member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, made an announcement on Wed., Aug. 31 that the foundation would be setting up a “matching grants fund for the hurricane victims” matching up to $25,000.

After the announcement was made the money started pouring in. In just three weeks time, more than $43,000 was sent collected.

“Everyone at Dilbeck Realtors was very touched by Katrina and then later by Rita and now with Wilma,” said Dilbeck. “We realize that a home is a family’s biggest investment, both financially and emotionally, and to lose it in a matter of hours is more than devastating … it’s unimaginable. We only hope our donations will help these families rebuild their lives.”

Dilbeck took another step in stepping up to the plate to help with these disasters. He put out a memo stating that all full time employees could take up to four weeks off to participate, at full pay, in the relief operations of recent hurricanes.

Several Dilbeck employees took the Red Cross classes and as of now one of those was deployed to Texas to help with the Hurricane Rita disaster victims.

“We thank the American Red Cross for always being the first on the scene of a disaster,” concluded Dilbeck, “and hats off to the thousands of volunteers who go the extra mile to help mankind, wherever the need occurs.”
