Old-fashioned family fun at Harvest Festival

Family and friends of CSUN’s Child and Family Studies Center are invited to celebrate fall with some old-fashioned fun at the center’s annual Harvest Festival on Sat., Nov. 12.

The festival is aimed at children, aged 8 and under, and will feature music, sack races, a petting zoo, a clown, country fair games, children’s crafts, face painting and a down home bake sale.

The festival will be from 1 to 4 p.m. in the center’s Lab School play yard at 18330 Halsted St., Northridge. Admission is $5 for adults and children are free.

For more information, call the Lab School at (818) 677-3131.

The Lab School serves preschool and kindergarten children. The school and the center are part of CSUN’s Department of Family and Consumer Sciences and are dedicated to fostering a partnership with each child’s family. The school also serves as a learning environment for CSUN students interested in working with children.
