Chabad introduces KidsCorps

Chabad of the Conejo has announced the formation of KidsCorps, a new Jewish children’s club designed for ages 5 to 11. The goal of the club is to provide children from all affiliations, temples and non-affiliated families with “a Jewishly fun and meaningful experience,” according to Rivky Galperin, one of the program coordinators.

KidsCorps will meet monthly and offer a variety of games, contests and shows, “while at the same time (children are) learning about Jewish related topics, specifically as it relates to making the world a better place for all.”

Each child will receive their own I.D badge and bracelet, and accumulate points throughout the year, earned by accepting challenges promoting goodness and kindness. Points will be traded in for prizes at year’s end, said Galperin.
