The question: Can you make a right turn on a red light from the turn-only lane on eastbound Thousand Boulevard onto westbound Westlake Boulevard in Westlake Village?

The answer: Yes, you can make a right turn on red, according to Jim Mashiko, Thousand Oaks senior civil engineer.

“If it’s a solid red light (which it is), then you can make a right turn on red,” Mashiko said. Had the light been a red arrow, motorists wouldn’t be able to turn right. Mashiko said the city would have also posted a “No turn on red” if the action were prohibited.
