West Hills Hospital to host diabetes workshop
Managing diabetes series will touch on guidelines, diet, exercise
West Hills Hospital will present a three-part diabetes workshop this month on the hospital campus at 7300 Medical Center Drive, West Hills. Tues., Nov. 15: Part I in the Hospital Education Center will explain the American Diabetes Association guidelines on how to effectively manage diabetes and how to check blood sugar, food, pills and insulin. Tues., Nov. 22: Part II in the Center for Fitness and Rehabilitation will discuss exercise, food and foot care. Tues., Nov. 29: Part III in the Hospital Education Center will teach patients how to assess their blood sugar diary, diet, read food labels, “and pull everything together.” The series costs $25.
