Lupin Hill’s Fabulous Fiddlers honored

This past spring, GATE students from Lupin Hill Elementary School in Calabasas and the Fabulous Fiddlers student group worked together with Las Virgenes Municipal Water District to create a water awareness public service announcement for cable TV.

Students participated in all phases of production, from photo selection and narration to recording the soundtrack. Hours of practice and support from parents and local artists went into creating the announcement.

Principal Carol Martino and Fabulous Fiddlers students were present at this week’s Las Virgenes Unified School District board meeting to receive a proclamation from the water district in appreciation for their creative and talented efforts, in addition to contributing to water awareness education in the area.

The students’ 60-scecond announcement is currently being shown on Calabasas CTV and Adelphia local channels.
