$1 million raffle set to go

Raffle tickets are now on sale for a chance to win a $1 million Oak Park home or $1 million in cash, the largest raffle ever in the Conejo/Las Virgenes valleys.

Proceeds will go to the Conjeo Jewish Day School in Agoura Hills.

Tickets for the raffle are priced at $150 a piece. A maximum of 18,000 tickets will be sold, with the raffle winner announced on Feb. 14.

The 2,500-square-foot two story home is completely remodeled and comes with five bedrooms and three baths. Upgrades include a new kitchen with granite counter tops, state-of-the-art appliances and a custom walk-in pantry, new custom ceramic tile and designer quality carpet throughout the house, all new double-glazed windows and an oversized walk-in closet and Jacuzzi tub in the master suite.

The home features a beautifully landscaped entertainer’s backyard with a pool and spa and is in one of the most scenic areas in California.

The Jewish day school is in its fourth year and is currently operating in leased facilities. It hopes to use raffle funds to acquire a permanent site to build a new school.

The school currently has 70 kindergarten through sixth grade students.

“Once we have a home of our own, we hope to offer a kindergarten through 12th grade experience,” said Leora Langberg, the school board president.

“The school combines Jewish traditions with strong academics in a nurturing environment,” Langberg said. The Feb. 14 grand prize drawing will be held at The Canyon in Agoura Hills.

Tickets can be purchased by calling (866) 946-1466. Ticket purchase forms, rules and regulations, home floorplan, pictures, virtual tour and other raffle information are available online at www.winahomenow.com.
