CHS is on the road this Friday to take on a revitalized Westlake squad at 7 p.m. Outlook: When asked last week if running back Jeff Rapoport would return this season after suffering an ankle injury early in the year, Westlake head coach Jim Benkert said “no.”

In that case, it must have been a miracle that the senior ball carrier was back on the field during the Warriors’ 44-14 victory over Agoura.

With Rapoport, Marlon Bills and Jeff Miller all playing together for the first time this season without injuries, Westlake looked like a completely different team, and one that could still squeak into the postseason if everything goes their way down the stretch. They’ll look to inch closer to .500 against Calabasas.

Outlook: Make no mistake about it, this is a huge showdown for the Eagles.

Nordhoff enters the game in second place in the Tri-Valley standings and is averaging a shade over 31 points per game.

Oak Park, fresh off a 35-12 shellacking of Bishop Diego, can get its record back above .500 for the first time since early October.

Quarterback Doug Deakin did it all against Bishop Diego, running for 157 yards and completing 11-of-17 pass attempts for 116 yards and a touchdown.

If Deakin can continue to stay hot and running back Matt Alexander keeps finding a way into the end zone, OPHS should have a shot to upset the Rangers.
