Time to break the mold

As the Nov. 8 election draws near and I find myself viewing another election campaign cycle of political backstabbing and mudslinging unfolding, I see a great opportunity for change in at least one of the three seats available on the city council.

It’s time to “think outside the box” if you will, or cross party lines if it means electing someone who offers a fresh perspective and has a sincere passion for correcting and upholding the ideals of this wonderful city.

I believe George Christopher Thomas is an ideal candidate for city council.

As a younger member of the community, I am tired of seeing the same faces in the council seats year after year. It’s always the same promises each election term with the same results--a fraternity of the same council members day in and day out who vote each other into office and value underachievement on a grand scale based on their results. I am fed up with watching this city send all of its unwanted tax-based business over the city limits for Westlake to capitalize on while loading up the 101 corridor with half-empty office buildings which add little to the tax base and clog the already defunct Kanan interchange. Electing George to the council is a productive first step in “righting” this troubled city.

I’ll be voting for a fresh start and change in the right direction by voting for George Christopher Thomas. Michael Troughton Agoura Hills
