Westlake Women’s Club helps with hurricane relief

The Westlake Women’s Club is donating $1,000 to help victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The funds are being designated for victims who are also members of the General Federated Women’s Clubs in the gulf region affected by the disasters.

“We wanted to determine that 100 percent of what we donated would be received by those who need it most,” said Cate Brown, club president. “Our national organization will identify federated women’s club members in the stricken areas and funnel our club’s entire donation directly to them.”
