Wants no on Measure C

Vote no on Measure C for one big reason: the 299 acres of developer’s land not included in this agreement has no safeguards for additional development.

Do you really think they will stop with the Malibu Valley Inn program and five houses when the developer has 300 acres free and clear he can develop?

Many of us have worked tirelessly to stop horrible ideas like Ahmanson Ranch. Well, this is a mini-Ahmanson right in the heart of the Santa Monica Mountains, some of the most sensitive land we have left.

Meanwhile, Malibu Canyon will jam up with the additional 1,878 car trips each and every day, not to mention air quality, water quality and the cutting of 72 mature oak trees.

Please, Calabasas, be proud of a strong heritage of slow growth. Get yourself to the polling booth to vote no on Measure C on Nov. 6. Mary Altmann Agoura
