Vote for August

— P S P 8

Neighbors in our Morrison Ranch neighborhood hosted a meeting to introduce us to Todd August, a candidate running for Agoura Hills City Council. We were impressed with his commitment, experience and vision. Todd immediately communicated a sense of caring about our beloved community. He spoke of the fiscal realities involved with the management of our city from the knowing perspective of one who manages a $12 million annuabudget.

The lack of vision and leadership of our previous city councihas created little in the way of a tax base that brings in needed dollars to the treasury. While ouwise neighbors on either side ous are reaping the benefits of aggressive recruitment of attractive retail establishments such as the Westlake Promenade and the Calabasas Commons, we are lefto scratch our heads and pondewhy instead we have office buildings, half-empty apartment buildings and furniture stores. Todd also spoke of his frustration with the traffic problems we suffer resulting from the formecouncil’s inability to efficiently manage the redesigning of the Chesebro, Reyes Adobe and especially Kanan interchanges. Finally, Todd lamented thaour beautiful community is sullied with brown weed patches surrounding the freeway where verdant landscape could flourish as it does in Westlake Village

We are optimistic that Todd August will usher in a new beginning for those of us who cherish Agoura Hills. Sharon and Seymour Gorelick Agoura Hills
