Big Band to play benefit

The Ed Lojeski All Star Big Band will perform at a fundraising dinner dance Sat., Oct. 29 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum, 40 Presidential Drive, Simi Valley.

Hors d’oeuvres and tours of Air Force One and/or Ronald Reagan Museum will be offered from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Please allow up to one-and-a-half hours for tours. Dinner will begin at 7 p.m., with dancing to the All Star Big Band until 11 p.m. The dinner will be prepared under the supervision of Nancy Reagan’s chef.

Tickets are $100 per person.

All proceeds, which are taxdeductible, will benefit the Conejo Valley Youth Orchestra and Westlake Presbyterian Church Music Ministries.

Lojeski is the music director of Westlake Presbyterian Church and a professional composer and musician. He’s been an accompanist and consultant for numerous movie productions and has worked with many singers, including Johnny Mathis, Sarah Vaughn, Robert Goulet, Roger Williams, Carol Lawrence, Elvis Presley and The Lettermen.

Band members include players from “The Tonight Show” band, film-scoring sessions, recording sessions and Los Angeles jazz musicians.
