Inn and spa good for the community

Many articles have been written about the Malibu Valley Inn and Spa. As a Calabasas resident and a recently graduated senior form Calabasas High, I would like to take some time and voice my own opinion on the project.

I would like to start off by stating that I strongly support the project and encourage others to do so as well. When I first went onto the website and researched information, I was immediately turned on to all the advantages of what the inn and spa has to offer.

The inn and spa not only provides several jobs to high school and college students in the surrounding areas, but also creates an addition of only six new students to the nearby schools. The 81-lot subdivision suggested as an alternative would bring 96 new students.

The inn and spa also has the advantage of the same yearly tax benefits.

Putting aside the obvious reasons for supporting the inn and spa, I think it would be a fun and unique addition to the area. Not only will it provide beautiful scenery, horse lessons, available spa treatments, as well as available rooms for banquet and special occasions, but it is unlike anything else the Calabasas area has to offer. I think the resort will bring in a lot of positive advantages and be a great success, a great addition to the Calabasas area. Brittany Saberhagen Calabasas
