Full disclosure is recommended At first I thought that Ian Tara’s letter decrying the incestuous relationship between the current Agoura Hills City Council and planning commission candidates for city council was a bit paranoid. However, Elaine Neiman’s letter extolling the virtues of Harry Schwarz proved Dr. Tara’s point. While Ms. Neiman’s letter talks about how wonderful Harry is and how he is involved in the community, she fails to disclose her husband is current city Councilmember Dan Kuperberg, part of the group that appointed Mr. Schwarz. So it’s no surprise that the family who helped appoint Harry now supports him for city council. What is a surprise is that the current cabal that runs both the city council and planning commission thinks that nobody notices they have created a self-perpetuating machine that continues to drive this city in the wrong direction. Contrary to Mrs. Kuperberg’s comments, none of the candidates in this election are outsiders to the city of Agoura Hills. They all live here and are part of the community. But other that Mr. Schwarz, Mr. Koehler and Mr. Weber, the rest are outsiders to the private club that currently runs city hall. We need to change this come Nov. 8.
