Walk for cancer research

Seven Oaks Rehabilitation & Fitness Center, Inc. will host an Avon Mini-Walk for Breast Cancer from 8 a.m. to noon Sat., Oct. 15 in Westlake Village. The benefit is part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

A walk will start every hour on the hour, with the last walk beginning at 11 a.m. Each walk is three miles and children, pets, and strollers are permitted to accompany the walkers. Staff will assist all participants during the day of the event.

Pre-registration for this event is a minimum donation of $20. Registering the day of the event is a minimum donation of $30. Checks should be made payable to Avon Walk for Breast Cancer Seven Oaks.

At 7 p.m. Fri., Oct. 14 Seven Oaks will host “Bunco for Breast Cancer” to raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. There will also be a silent auction with gifts and services donated by local businesses.
