Lecture series to begin

Dr. Jane Healy will deliver the first in a seven-part Parent Talk lecture series from 7 to 9 p.m. Tues., Oct. 11 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1600 E. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks.

Sponsored by the Conejo Valley Adult School Parenting Department, the lecture series will be $65 for individuals or $90 per couple for the entire series, or $15 to $20 at the door. Tickets may be purchased by calling (805) 4928837.

Healy is the author of “Your Child’s Growing Mind: A Parent’s Guide to Learning from Birth to Adolescence,” “Endangered Minds,” and “Failure to Connect.” Her lecture is titled “Your Child’s Growing Mind: A Parent’s Guide to Raising an Intelligent Child.”
