Wedding bells for Oak Park woman

Stacey Nicole Stearn, daughter of Diane Stearn of Oak Park, was married July 2 to Nathan C. Hastings, son of Arthur Hastings of San Mateo, in a ceremony at Firestone Vineyard in Los Olivos.

The bride, 28, teaches eighth-grade language arts and reading in Northern California. She grew up in Agoura Hills and attended local schools, graduating from Agoura High School in 1995. She earned a BS in psychology and a teaching credential from San Diego State University in 1999.

The groom, 29, is a principal and senior institutional equity salesman at Banc of America Securities, Inc., the New Yorkbased investment division of Bank of America. He graduated from the University of San Diego in 1998.

The bride’s mother teaches third grade in the Conejo Valley Unified School District. Agoura Hills residents Nikki Burt and Jennifer (Whitcher) Layton, friends of the bride, were part of the wedding party.

Following a honeymoon in the Hawaiian Islands, the couple is making their home in San Francisco.
