Council member proves he is not accountable

What happened to the $100,000 request by Agoura Hills Councilmember John Edelston for the Las Virgenes Education Foundation that was voted down by the council two months ago which The Acorn reported? Calabasas has given over $1.5 million to the schools.

Why hasn’t the councilman written a letter to the editor or tried to garner support in our community for this important contribution to our schools? We haven’t heard a word from him since he was elected nearly two years ago.

Many residents elected Councilman Edelston to reform the city and not have business as usual, with the city of Agoura Hills catering to the same small group of people all the time with their own agendas.

Now we have learned that Councilman Edelston is endorsing the Agoura Hills’ city machine-picked planning commissioners for the city council election on Nov. 8.

Please support Todd August for council this November. He is a true reformer and will represent all of Agoura Hills. He won’t become one of the boys when he’s elected just so the council can “all just get along.” Zane Widdes Agoura Hills
