Workshop series to address diabetes

West Hills Hospital & Medical Center will host a three-part diabetes workshop from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Oct. 11, 18 and 25 in the Education Center Trailer in the hospital’s back parking lot at 7300 Medical Center Drive, West Hills.

The Oct. 11 session will explain the American Diabetes Association guidelines on managing diabetes and how to check blood sugar, food, pills and insulin.

Exercise, food and foot care will be the covered on Oct. 18.

On Oct. 25, attendees will learn how to assess their blood sugar diary, diet, read food labels “and pull everything together,”according to hospital staff.
