Shofar, so good TRADITION—Students visit Westlake Chabad to learn about the shofar, a symbol of Rosh Hashanah. Usually made from a ram’s horn, the shofar is blown during the Jewish High Holidays as a spiritual wake-up call. Below, entertainer Benny Friedman blows the shofar in Calabasas. See story on page 33.
