Tryouts open for chorale group

“Inspiration, A Sacred Chorale,” a singing group, is accepting new members for its fall semester. The group is a four-voice (soprano, alto, tenor and bass) group dedicated to the presentation of sacred music not frequently heard in smaller and sometimes larger churches.

The chorale attempts to fill a musical vacuum for churches. Smaller congregations frequently cannot marshal the resources necessary to sing much of the music the group performs. Larger groups tend to ignore “minor masterworks.”

This group’s repertoire is diverse and comes from all eras and publishing houses. The group performs two concerts a year and participates in two hymn festivals.

Rehearsals are every Monday evening from 7:30 and 9 p.m.
