Conejo Valley Quilters schedule fundraising show, auction

The Conejo Valley Quilters will present its second quilt show and auction, “A Gathering Under the Oaks,” on Oct. 1 and 2 at the Oak Park Community Center and Gardens, 1000 N. Kanan Road, Oak Park. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Admission is $7 for both days and includes parking and shuttle service. Children ages 12 and under are free. Strollers will be allowed on Sunday only. Activities will include special quilt displays, vendors, a children’s treasure hunt, outdoor barbecue lunch and picnic, and a quilt drawing on Sunday.

A silent quilt auction will be hosted on Saturday at 1 p.m., and live quilt auction at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Donations will go to the American Cancer Society and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.
