Outlook: Head coach Charlie Wegher’s aeriel attack still doesn’t appear to be clicking on all cylinders, having posted only 40 points combined during the first two games.

Nevertheless, the Chargers are 2-0 and tied atop the Marmonte League standings with Royal, Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks, so it’s not like the coach is having too many sleepless nights.

The rush defense was outstanding for Agoura in last weekend’s 22-7 victory over Camarillo. The unit allowed just 16 yards on the ground on 12 attempts.

Rio Mesa got punched in the mouth by Newbury Park in Week Two, losing 54-13 and allowing six touchdown passes in defeat.

Westlake (1-1)

at Hart (1-1)

Outlook: Both teams will be looking to bounce back after tough losses last Friday.

Westlake was beaten by Notre Dame of Sherman Oaks, 45-20, on the road. Notre Dame is currently ranked No. 1 in Div. III.

Hart, meanwhile, couldn’t get past the No. 1 ranked team in Div. IV, St. Bonaventure, losing 33-21 to the Seraphs.

Westlake running back Jeff Rapoport has played well through the first two games, and if quarterback Ryan Campbell can bounce back after a sub-par performance last weekend (11-of-21 passing for 136 yards and one INT), the Warriors have a more than decent shot at getting a win.

Hart won last year, 32-14.
