A young driver reported that someone shot out the window of his vehicle while he was driving to school on Sept. 8. The incident occurred while the driver, who was not injured, headed northbound on Kanan Road.

A van parked on Lake Lindero Drive was vandalized on Aug. 28. The vehicle was keyed, causing $1,500 in damages.

A vandal pried open a set of community mailboxes in the 30490 block of Canwood Street. Damages were estimated at $500.

Thieves stole audio equipment valued at $700 from an unlocked Lincoln Navigator parked on Argos Street, south of Driver Avenue. The incident occurred between Sept. 13 and 14.

A purse containing credit cards, a cell phone, checks and a driver’s license was stolen from a vehicle parked on Torre Pine Road on Sept. 6. The loss was estimated at $370. Damages to the vehicle amounted to $800.

An iPOD, cell phone, FM transmitter and pager were stolen from a vehicle parked inside a garage on Rainbow Drive between Sept. 10 and 11. The loss was $800.

Someone smashed the window of a vehicle parked on St. Laurent Drive on Sept 11 and stole a purse valued at $40. The smashed window cost $150.

Westlake Village

A $2,000 laptop was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway on Brigantine Circle between Sept. 7 and 8.

A bicycle valued at $2,000 was stolen from an unlocked garage on Waterside Lane between Sept. 8 and 11.

DVDs belonging to Netflix were stolen from a curbside mailbox on Catarina Drive. The incident occurred on Sept. 11 and the items were valued at $100.

Between 3:30 p.m. Sept. 10 and 12 p.m. Sept. 11 in the 3300 block of S. Medicine Bow Court, vandals caused about $150 in damages. The incident is under investigation.
