Time for change in Agoura Hills

It’s another Saturday night and my wife and I are going out. I put on slacks that I had to purchase in Malibu because Agoura Hills has no men’s stores, slap on cologne purchased at a Thousand Oaks mall and head out for dinner and the theater in nearby Westlake Village in a new car purchased in Calabasas.

This example is everything that’s wrong with the leadership of our city. Agoura suffers from a lack of a financial plan, poor vision and special interests dictating how valuable taxes are spent. Our city lags behind in revenues, appeal and sound decision-making.

It’s time for a change. We’re tired of paying $3 a gallon for gas to take us out of our city to have our needs met. On Nov. 8 we need to make changes in the way that our city runs. Ira Cohen Agoura Hills
