Jewish Center unveils new kindergarten
READY TO ROLL—Children and adults are on hand to celebrate the new kindergarten center scheduled to open this winter at the Malibu Jewish Center & Synagogue. The Malibu Jewish Center & Synagogue unveiled its new MJC&S Kindergarten Center, funded by JAKKS Pacific and the company’s Chairman and CEO Jack Friedman, at a dedication ceremony on Sept. 16.
The renovated kindergarten at 24855 Pacific Coast Highway is slated to open this winter.
“The new facilities are wonderful, and the children and congregation members will enjoy them both for many generations,” said Dede Solis, preschool director.
The Malibu Jewish Center Preschool has been serving the Malibu community since 1983 when it opened at Webster Elementary School. The first kindergarten class opened in fall 2001, serving children ages 2 through 6 and offering Mommy and Me classes, as well as a full array of enrichment classes along with traditional learning.
The school offers a warm, creative environment in an atmosphere where each child’s unique style of learning is valued and nurtured. Children are encouraged to develop their own selfimage and feelings of self-worth in a stimulating learning environment.
