Worker’s compensation is low in Agoura Hills

The California Joint Powers Insurance Authority presented the city of Agoura Hills with an award for the lowest average workers’ compensation costs for the past five years.

The annual Risk Management award recognizes cities that have demonstrated superior risk management programs in workers’ compensation. Claims are analyzed to determine which agencies have the lowest average cost of claims per $100 of payroll for the past five years.

The city of Agoura Hills was the small agency winner, with a cost of 7 cents per $100 of payroll. The agency with the highest cost or coverage had an average cost of $7.73 per $100 of payroll.
