Community center to host teen activities

The Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center will host an After School Teen Program from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. weekdays that will follow the Las Virgenes Unified School District calendar.

Registration is currently being accepted. The program is open to students at the surrounding middle schools. The structured, drop-in program includes homework time, arts and crafts, sports and games plus pizza parties every Friday.

The cost is $250 per semester or $475 per year. The city of Calabasas offers free transportation from A.E. Wright and A.C. Stelle Middle Schools.

For youth interested in learning rock climbing basics, the Center will also be offering the Teen Climbers Program. For $90 per semester, participants are entitled to exclusive rock wall privileges from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays or Thursdays.
