Religious concert at Community Center

A multi-dimensional pre-High Holiday concert will be presented at 7 p.m. Thurs., Sept. 15 at the Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center, 27040 Malibu Hills Road, Calabasas.

“The Songs and Stories of the Days of Awe,” produced by Chabad of Calabasas and the Conejo Jewish Academy, will star Chassidic singer Benny Friedman in performance of High Holiday songs and Yiddish favorites. Accompanist is pianist/composer Sharon Kirshnir. Rabbi Moshe D. Bryski, director of the academy, will narrate the show.

“The audience is going to be thoroughly entertained and profoundly moved by the blend of Benny’s stellar voice with Rabbi Bryski’s insight and heartwarming anecdotes illuminating each tune,” said Rabbi Eli Friedman, director of Chabad of Calabasas.
