Cadet Sakellarios M. Spirtos graduated from the U.S. Military Academy with a major in computer science.

Spirtos was commissioned a second lieutenant, branched Aviation and will attend an Officer Basic Course at Ft. Rucker, Ala. After training he may soon join an active Army unit.

Spirtos is the son of Maria M. Spirtos and the late Dr. Michael Spirtos of Hidden Hills and a 2000 graduate of Calabasas High School.

Air Force Airman Jeimmy P. Rivas has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. She also earned credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Rivas is the daughter of Vilma Rivas of Thousand Oaks and a 2004 graduate of Westlake High School.

Marine Corps Cpl. Michael Soto was recently promoted to his current rank while serving with Marine Wing Support Squadron 374, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing of Twentynine Palms. He is a 2002 graduate of Westlake High School and son of Margarita Soto of Thousand Oaks.

Eric J. Agar has been awarded an Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps college scholarship to attend UCLA. He is the son of Deborah and Jared Agar of Agoura Hills and a 2005 graduate of Calabasas High School.
