Public safety info available

The Ventura County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association (VCDSA) is offering to provide monthly safetyrelated articles for local homeowner association newsletters.

“As part of our longstanding commitment to better serve the communities in Ventura County, our association is providing articles for neighborhood newsletters,” said Sgt. Pat Buckley, VCDSA president.

The articles will relate to personal and public safety. Examples include: a guide for kids who are home alone; what makes people/ situations suspicious; crime prevention tips for seniors. Also, aricles can be tailored for a neighborhood’s specific needs.

The communities of Simi Valey, Thousand Oaks, Westlake Vilage, Oak Park and Moorpark are being targeted in this phase. The rest of the county’s communities will be included in the future.
