A report last week said the city of Calabasas expects the final environmental report for the proposed Malibu Valley Inn and Spa development to go before the planning commission and city council in August and an oak tree report to go before the environmental commission, also in August.

Following the Calabasas City Council’s decision to put an initiative on the Nov. 8 ballot regarding the project, the developer has requested that the inn and spa be put on hold until after the election. The project, therefore, is not scheduled for consideration at the August meetings and is on hold until the applicant requests that the city proceed.
