Troop Real Estate Golf Tourney Raises Record $90,000

Officials of Troop Real Estate, Inc. announced that a record $90,000 was raised during its recently concluded “Adopt-A-School” Golf Tournament at Wood Ranch County Club in Simi Valley. These funds are earmarked for the advancement of technology education in east Ventura County schools.

Dedree Hoyt and Donna O’Leary, co-chairpersons for the Troop tourney, also reported that the company has now raised about $286,000 for area schools during the event’s five-year run. This year’s performance exceeded Troop’s goal of $75,000, they noted.

“We had over $525,000 in grant requests from teachers throughout the region this year, a clear indication that our program is gaining wide recognition. To be equitable, we have established a lottery system whereby grant distributions will be spread among varying school levels,” said Brian Troop, president of Troop Real Estate.

Hoyt added that the “Adopt-A-School” program reflects a long-standing corporate philosophy established by Troop emphasizing the importance of giving back to the community.

Troop offices are located in Simi Valley, Simi/Wood Ranch, Agoura, Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Moorpark, Camarillo, Channel Islands, Ventura, Oxnard, Santa Paula, Fillmore, Northridge, Malibu and Bakersfield.
